House Flipping and Parties

Last week I was asked to attend a party and having a vague knowledge of the party hosts, I just did not want to go.

The fact of the matter is that I have been asked to go to gatherings just like this in the past where I do not know anyone, but at my wife’s insistence, I always end up attending.

So why do I never want to go?

In my mind I had created fear of attending…without any real basis in reality.

I had imagined myself standing awkwardly in the corner, earnestly trying to discover something to talk about - even though I tried really hard, I always had a hard time connecting with other people that I did not know. I never was able to find common ground, the convos were always awkward, add in some obnoxious music and I always had a bad time.

As sad as it sounds, that is how I always envisioned my party experiences.

Haven't most of us, at least at some point in time, felt like this?

I'm talking about the kind of parties you go to where you think to yourself you would rather actually be trapped at the dentist office for a week than going through this torture….

What if I had pictured a different outcome instead?

Instead of being alone in the corner…imagine if I had pictured being surrounded by people that were truly interested in what I had to say and contribute, engaging in lively interesting conversation, with wonderful music playing nicely in the background, feeling completely comfortable and at ease?

If had pictured THIS scenario instead, how much do you think I would want to go to the party now?

The #1 Factor for House Flipping Success

Envision for just a moment, that you are able to change this perception not just with regards to parties…but how about when you make your very first deal on flipping a house?

Imagine that you have worked very hard for over a year to start your house flipping career and you have finally found the perfect property to buy. Every sign is yelling yes. The price is absolutely right, the financing is spot on, you have a handle on expected costs and you are sure about what you will be able to sell the property for.

But you imagine everything going wrong, the house sitting on the market for months, as you sit there, helpless, watching your profit deteriorate…

What are your prospects of success if you continue with this mental attitude?

Not unless you change the PERCEPTION of pain versus pleasure.

Be positive and picture the house selling for more than you expected, in less than 30 days, giving you and your backers a full return on their investment.

To be successful you must adopt this sort of mindset.

What this is not is just a wild assumption that things will go well only because you think it ought to...far from it. You need to have a specific strategy of steps that minimizes that odds of the bad deal - so that you can position yourself in a position to recieve the value and awesome experiences instead of focusing on the pain .

And above all to gain the house flipping mindset, once you have done all that you need to then expect success in your mind and think only of all the good things to come from the deal.

This is the house flipping mindset, the positive mental attitude, and is the very first critical step to house flipping success.
